Soft Glam Hair & Makeup for Hooded Eyes and Long, Straight Hair

Natural beauty never goes out of style. My goal is always to create a timeless look that enhances my client's features while ensuring she still feels like herself.

For this look, my client had naturally long, thick, and very straight hair, along with hooded monolid eyes. These features require a different approach than double eyelids because traditional eye makeup techniques can easily disappear when the eyes are open.

Creating Definition for Hooded Monolid Eyes

Rather than using heavy eyeliner or dramatic eyeshadow, I focused on creating soft definition that would remain visible when her eyes were open.

I used carefully blended neutral shadows to add depth above her natural crease, giving the eyes more dimension without looking overdone. The eyeliner was kept thin and slightly lifted at the outer corners to subtly elongate the eye shape while maintaining a soft, elegant appearance.

Wispy lashes were selected to enhance the eyes without making them appear heavy, allowing her natural eye shape to remain the focus.

Natural, Radiant Skin

Beautiful makeup begins with healthy-looking skin.

Instead of a full matte finish, I created a lightweight, radiant complexion with thin layers of foundation and strategic concealing. Soft rosy blush and subtle contour added warmth and dimension while allowing her natural skin texture to show through.

The lips were finished with a glossy pink shade to complement the fresh, youthful look.

Soft Waves for Naturally Straight Hair

Because her hair is naturally very straight and heavy, holding curls can be challenging.

I created soft, polished waves with plenty of movement while keeping the volume concentrated through the mid-lengths and ends. The crown was gently lifted to prevent the hairstyle from looking flat, creating balance with her face shape.

The result is a hairstyle that feels effortless while still looking polished from every angle.
