For this beautiful Indian wedding in Massachusetts, the bride and her family got ready at the Boston Marriott Newton, followed by the wedding ceremony and celebration at Elm Bank Gardens in Wellesley.

I had the pleasure of creating hair and makeup for the Indian bride, her mother, and her sister.

There is sometimes an assumption that Indian bridal makeup needs to be very heavy or dramatic. But many of today’s younger Indian brides are choosing a more soft, modern, and elegant approach to their wedding-day beauty.

For this bride, I wanted her traditional red and gold saree and beautiful Indian jewelry to remain the focus. I created glowing, natural-looking skin, softly defined eyes, and polished waves that enhanced her features without overpowering her.

Her mother and sister also received individually tailored hair and makeup looks that complemented their traditional Indian attire while keeping the overall style elegant and refined.
