As a Boston-based hair and makeup artist, I enjoy working on live theater productions where every performer needs makeup that looks beautiful under bright stage lighting while still feeling comfortable throughout the performance.

I had the pleasure of working as the hair and makeup artist for the live theater production My First Ex-Husband in September 2025 and March 2026.
Working backstage for a theater production is always exciting. Everything moves quickly, and every detail matters before the performers step onto the stage.
Preparing the Dressing Room

Every production starts before the audience arrives. I always begin by preparing the dressing room and setting up my hair and makeup station.
A clean and organized space helps everything run smoothly, especially when the schedule is busy.
Setting Up Backstage

For theater work, preparation is very important. I organize my brushes, foundations, powders, lip colors, and hairstyling products before the performers arrive.
This helps me work quickly and stay focused on each person’s look.
Final Touch-Ups Before the show

Before the performers go on stage, I check every small detail. Lipstick, skin, shine, hair, and eye makeup all need to look polished under strong stage lighting.
My goal is to help each performer feel confident and ready before stepping in front of the audience.
Working with Judy Gold

It was a wonderful experience working with Judy Gold during My First Ex-Husband.
Theater makeup needs to look polished under stage lights while still feeling comfortable throughout the performance.
Working with Joy Behar

One of the highlights of this production was working with Joy Behar.
My goal was to create a polished look that still felt natural and true to her. Theater makeup has to last through the performance and work well under bright stage lights.
